April-May 2003 Update: The last report from Andrea's doctor is that she is doing extremely well. She is able to walk--provided she is holding onto other things--and has even attempted to walk on her own, albeit unsuccessfully. (It appears she is very close.) More and more of her personality is beginning to emerge: She has taken to playing with the remote controls for the VCR and satellite systems, and will also insert and eject tapes repeatedly. She also enjoys being outdoors, and especially likes observing birds. Sometimes when she is told no to an action, that seems to make her more determined to do it anyway. Favorite TV shows appear to include Teletubbies, Sesame Street, and curiously, The Price is Right.
